Great adventures do not begin with a victory, but with an idea you refuse to let go of. The MaGin idea brought four friends together around the same dream: create a Belgian gin inspired by the world of manga. To find out how that idea became a bottle, then a whole universe, you have to go back to the very first chapter.
MaGin is first of all the story of four friends, of shared passions and of the manga that marked a whole generation.
The years went by, but some things stayed: their fascination with Japan and that urge to create something together.
Then, one day, they decided to turn the idea into action. The MaGin adventure had just been born. But between the dream and the first bottle, one essential step remained: finding the right balance.
Four botanicals. One balance to find.
The challenge was simple to state, far trickier to pull off: how do you bring together the brightness of yuzu, the roundness of vanilla, the character of bison grass and the power of juniper berry, without any one of them wiping out the others?
To get there, MaGin was developed alongside Radermacher, the oldest distillery in Belgium. Founded in 1836 in Raeren, it puts almost two centuries of know-how at the service of a resolutely different recipe.
From this meeting of tradition and daring came a gin that is smooth, aromatic and surprising. A balance that shows a different face depending on how you meet it: neat, in a gin and tonic or at the heart of a cocktail.
Tradition wrote the first chapter. The adventure carries on in every glass.

December 2025 — Liège
From 1st to 24 December 2025, MaGin opened a new chapter of its universe with the AdvenTURE Calendar, an original series blending Christmas spirit, manga atmosphere and a spotlight on local talents.

All through December, a mysterious samurai from a distant land appeared in the Cité ardente. No one truly knew his name, nor the exact reasons for his coming. Yet one thing seemed clear: his journey was bound up with the encounters he was about to have.
Through a series of episodes released day after day, this strange traveller crossed Liège to meet shopkeepers, artisans, creators, artists and local figures. Every stop on his journey was a chance to discover a new world, a story, a craft or a passion.
With the AdvenTURE Calendar, MaGin wanted to go beyond a simple end-of-year activation. The goal was to create a genuinely living story, one that could gather a community around strong values: discovery, sharing, creativity and support for the talents of the region.
All through this quest, gifts, surprises and rewards punctuated the adventure for those who followed the samurai to the very end. Every episode strengthened the bond between MaGin, its community and the iconic or lesser-known corners of Liège.
Between manga storytelling, a reinvented Christmas spirit and local roots, the AdvenTURE Calendar stood out as an original experience, true to MaGin’s DNA: create more than a gin, build a whole universe.
But one question remains…
Who is this samurai, really? And above all… will he ever return to the Cité ardente?
