Panda Gin × MaGin — September 2026
Two worlds, two Belgian gins, one red thread: throughout September 2026, Panda Gin and MaGin came together around a unique creation, Akai Ito, served in two Liège bars, L’Amusoir and Sodylow.
The panda and the samurai, each with his own bottle
Akai Ito is the red thread of fate. According to an East Asian legend, an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet. It may stretch or tangle, but it never breaks.
The name was obvious for a cocktail that stands for the meeting of two worlds meant to cross paths.
On one side, Panda Gin, an organic Belgian gin launched in 2017 by a group of friends, known as the first gin made with lychee. On the other, MaGin Ki Yuzu, our organic gin from Liège with Japanese yuzu and vanilla.
Akai Ito brings them together in the same glass: the freshness of lemon, the indulgence of raspberry and a touch of ginger to lift it all.
Shake both gins, the syrup, lemon and raspberry with ice. Strain into an old fashioned glass over a large ice cube, top up with ginger ale or ginger beer, then garnish with a skewered raspberry, a twisted lemon zest… and a little red thread. The full recipe card is in our cocktail recipes, Crossover category.
Akai Ito, garnished with a raspberry and a little red thread
Throughout September, Akai Ito was served at two Liège venues: L’Amusoir, in the heart of the city, and Sodylow, a cocktail bar that has been part of the MaGin adventure since 2024. Two gins, two venues, one creation.
Some encounters may have been written all along.
To make Akai Ito at home, MaGin Ki Yuzu is available in our online shop.
