MaGin at the Gin Festival:
three editions, one home

2024–2026 · Liège, Belgium · 4 min read

Since 2024, the Liège Gin Festival, organised by Do You Speak Gin, has been part of every major chapter of MaGin. A first stand at the Royal Opera, the preview of the MaGin Box, a detour through Vaux-sur-Sûre… The story of three editions and of a festival that has become a bit like home.

2024 — A first festival, at the Royal Opera

On 2 July 2024, MaGin took part in its very first gin festival, in one of the most iconic venues of the “Cité ardente”: the Royal Opera of Liège. The crowd of enthusiasts, connoisseurs and curious visitors discovered our signature wasabi cocktail for the first time, a bold creation that sums up the MaGin spirit: surprise, take people on a journey and leave the beaten track.

For a young gin from Liège, it was an important step: taking its place among the players of Belgian gin, in the heart of its home town.

2025 — The MaGin Box preview

On 19 and 20 April 2025, MaGin returned to the festival, this time at the Société Littéraire de Liège, with a long-awaited novelty for the community: the MaGin Box, previewed two weeks before its official launch. A gift box bringing together gin, manga and Japanese culture.

A few weeks later, on 17 May, the MaGin Team hit the road to Vaux-sur-Sûre for the Gin and Rum Festival: a warm atmosphere, a curious crowd and long conversations about Japan, cocktails and Belgian gin. Just the kind of festival we love: genuine and full of life.

2026 — And that makes three

In April 2026, MaGin returned to the Liège Gin Festival for the third time. Now on familiar ground, the team came back to an event that has been part of the adventure from the very start. Edition after edition, bonds have formed with Quentin Lambert, the festival’s organiser, and with visitors, enthusiasts and fellow exhibitors.

And this time, MaGin arrived with one more reason to taste it: its Gin of the Year 2025 gold medal, won a few weeks earlier.

Why we keep coming back

A festival is where MaGin truly comes to life: we pour MaGin Ki Yuzu neat, then in a cocktail, we tell the story behind the bottle and we meet the people who may become part of the next chapter. It is also where collaborations are born, with other distilleries, bars and enthusiasts.

After all… here, we feel a bit at home.

See you at the next edition. In the meantime, MaGin Ki Yuzu is available in our online shop and at our stockists, and our upcoming events are in the Agenda.
